I found out on 6/28/17 that I had stage 1 breast cancer – shock of my life. You meet with doctors and surgeons but none were as kind as Dr. Ghazi, his PA Emily & nurse Robin especially. I was so scared and Dr. Ghazi could tell – he looked at me at one point and said “Tara, we are going to take good care of you, it’s going to be okay I promise”. I needed to hear that as I was having a hard time emotionally processing what was about to happen to my body. I hate metal expanders they suck but I understand their importance for what is best for your skin, the time needed before implants, etc. So I hope he never loses that upbeat, kind & supportive bedside manner that so many doctors don’t have.
