Dr. Ghazi hails from Atlanta, where he spent 8 years training at the world-renowned and internationally respected Emory University. Dr. Ghazi’s main concern is for you the patient and he will work tirelessly to bring you outstanding, individualized results that are delivered in a manner of comfort, safety and with a warm smile. During his time with the Emory University Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Division, Dr. Ghazi was fortunate to have worked and trained under some of the most well-known masters in the fields of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, allowing him to offer you the “best of the newest techniques” as well as traditional approaches from those who helped define the modern field of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Ghazi has a long history of leadership and research and has authored numerous publications in Plastic Surgery journals and textbooks, and has presented at many scientific meetings on subjects dealing with cosmetic breast surgery, cancer surgery of the breasts, and reconstruction of the breasts after mastectomy, as well as reconstruction of the chest and lower extremity. Recently, Dr. Ghazi was part of an award-winning research team demonstrating the efficacy of a funnel device in reducing bacterial contamination during Breast Augmentation.
Recently, Dr. Ghazi received an award for the best surgical innovation of 2014. Dr. Ghazi is a founder of AcCellerate Skin Rejuvenation System, which uses patients’ stem cells to enhance healing after a procedure.

I was upset and very nervous about going to a plastic surgeon, but within five minutes of meeting Dr. Symbas I was at ease. He is friendly, confident, compassionate, and enthusiastic. His knowledge of my procedure was obvious as his education and experience are outstanding, even with that he was quick to explain everything in a way I could easily understand. I honestly feel like his first goal was to always make me feel comfortable. He checked in on me, was always available for questions or concerns, and never seemed hurried or made me feel like I was just another patient. He made a very scary time for me much easier than I ever thought it could be. The office staff and nurses are also extremely nice and compassionate. Dr. Symbas is a phenomenal surgeon. His bedside manner gives you the feeling he is part of your family. He takes all the time needed to answer questions while building your confidence in his skilled abilities. I am 6 weeks out from tummy tuck/lipo surgery and the incision scars are healed and barely visible. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Symbas. I consulted with 4 different physicians and, while all of them were knowledgeable and fine surgeons, Dr. Symbas was obviously exceptional. He actually entertained me by consulting with me 2 separate times 6 months apart and gave me just as much time the second time as he did the first. He is excellent at validating concerns and is never rushed. You get the sense that you are the only patient that he will see all day with the way that he carefully addresses every concern and gives educated, yet easily understood responses. It’s a gift.
